Dr. Richard Hunt is an Esthetic & Restorative dentist in Rocky Mount, NC. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. His practice is focused on developing trusting relationships and helping individuals develop life long plans for their oral health.
Dr. Hunt has the unique privilege of working with his best friend and wife, Dr. Amy Hunt. The Pankey Institute has profoundly influenced their lives by providing a strong foundation of clinical and behavioral skills that they seek to apply on a daily basis. In addition to being a life long student student in many of the Pankey classes, Dr. Hunt has served as a member of the Visiting Faculty of the Pankey Institute since 2003. Currently, he serves as a lead faculty for the Essentials 1 curriculum and is chairman of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Hunt is active in his community, church, and profession. He has served as president of the NC Dental Society, an ADA delegate, a member of the ADA Council on Dental Practice, chair of the Dental Assisting National Board and president of the Dental Foundation of NC. He is an Elder of First Presbyterian Church in Rocky Mount and has held numerous leadership roles within the church.
Dr. Hunt has been honored as a fellow in the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.
